Dr. Joel Bennett

Joel Bennett, PhD, MA, CWP

Founder/CEO

Joel Bennett, PhD, is President of Organizational Wellness & Learning Systems (OWLS), a consulting firm specializing in evidence-based wellness technologies to promote organizational health and employee well-being. Dr. Bennett first delivered stress management programming in 1985 and OWLS programs have since reached close to 250,000 workers across the United States and abroad, including training over 1,000 facilitators and coaches. He is a primary developer of “Team Awareness” and “Team Resilience,” evidence-based, culture of health programs recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Surgeon General as effective in reducing employee behavioral risks. Team Awareness has been adapted by the U.S. National Guard as one of their flagship prevention programs and it has been used by municipalities, hospitals, restaurants, electrician training centers, small businesses, Native American tribal government, and in Italy and South Africa. In 2022, he was acknowledged with the "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the National Wellness Institute. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Philosophy from State University of New York (Purchase) and his MA and PhD in Psychology from University of Texas-Austin. Dr. Bennett has authored/co-authored six books including "Raw Coping Power," "Heart-Centered Leadership," and "Your Best Self at Work" and his Google Scholar page provide links to over 30 peer-reviewed scientific studies. He was previously on the board of the Academy of Management’s “Spirituality and Religion Interest Group (MSR)” and the Board of Directors for the National Wellness Institute. He provides key-note speaking and continues to train coaches and facilitators in team (culture of health) and resilience workshops.

Cynthia Conigliaro; MSW, MBA

Marketing Director/New Business Partnerships

In addition to helping with marketing strategy and new business partnerships, Cynthia provides assistance with program development and instruction of OWLS courses. Cynthia has been an independent health and wellness coach for over 15 years. Prior to starting her own health coaching practice 8 years ago, Cynthia worked in various health and wellness centers in the Boston area educating individuals and groups on a variety of wellness topics. Cynthia's marketing experience includes work in both the public and private sectors in the areas of Public Relations, Marketing Strategy, Customer Relations Management, Sales Strategy, Marketing Communications and Competitive Intelligence. Shawn Reynolds, PhD

Consulting Scientist

Shawn works across the projects at OWLS performing data analysis and formative program evaluation. His interests are in social and health psychology mainly in the areas of organizational climate, subjective norms, stigma and trust as influences on worksite health promotion programs. He is currently focused on analyzing the moderating effects of wellness climate and coworker drug use norms on the effectiveness of the Team Awareness and Healthy Choices prevention trainings in small businesses.

Michelle Zadrozny, LCSW-S, EAS-C

Consulting Partner

Michelle Zadrozny is a Social Worker, social entrepreneur, creative artist, and community collaborator. She brings 20+ years of program development, community health, and innovative partnership-building expertise to her consulting work. Since 2011, she has joined OWLS on several client projects involved with direct training delivery, co-facilitation, and coaching. Michelle maintains a private mental health counseling practice as a Clinical Director in South Austin, Texas.

Mark Attridge, PhD, MA

Workplace Behavioral Health Advisor

Mark Attridge has worked with OWLS since 2005 as an adviser and consultant on various product development and client projects. Mark brings a unique scholarly approach that derives from his past work with health care service providers, benefit consultants, employers and academic researchers. He has authored more than 250 papers and presentations including several papers and workshops in collaboration with Dr. Bennett. For over 10 years he has been President of Attridge Consulting, Inc., based in Minneapolis, with clients in the United States, Canada and other countries internationally. Mark has been most active in the area of workplace mental health and integrating employee assistance program (EAP) services with work-site wellness and organizational health initiatives.

Bryan Barbeau, MBA

Bryan brings his tech experience to the OWLS team, managing all aspects of our digital footprint through our website to online tools and functionality. Bryan's focus is on team-building and operational solutions through leveraged technology partnerships.

Aldrich Chan

Aldrich has worked with OWLS since Autumn of 2020, and has been working on various departmental projects and clients throughout the year. He has also been involved in research and editing papers. Aldrich has interests in learning and development, selection, and compensation in the field of Industrial-Organizational psychology. He is also passionate about employee well-being and hopes to champion health and wellness initiatives for organizations in the future.

Johanna Tanno

Johanna has over 15 years of experience in traditional and digital marketing, business development, client relations and project management. She currently uses her experience as a consultant with Johanna Tanno Consulting. She is also the Executive Director of Wellness 360 Conference, a non-profit organization (visit wellness360conference.com) where I get the privilege to lead an amazingly talented team and support those who are leading the wellness charge at work, in the community or at home.

Ben Dilla

Ben Dilla, PhD, is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist who has served in the military (US Air Force), business, and education sectors. In the Air Force, he was a behavioral scientist and personnel officer and taught at the Air Force Institute of Technology and the Air Force Academy. In business, he worked as a senior consultant for Personnel Decisions International (PDI, now Korn Ferry) and as a Training & Development leader for several organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area including Fannie Mae, American Airlines, UT Southwestern Medical Center, and Parkland Hospital. In addition to being an OWLS partner, Dr. Dilla is an affiliate professor of management in the Gupta College of Business at The University of Dallas and does leadership coaching, team building, and training through Bold Leader Development, LLC. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Sciences & Leadership from the US Air Force Academy and his MS and PhD in I/O Psychology from Purdue University. Dr. Dilla is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Board Certified Coach (BCC) through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE), and Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. He has written or co-authored over twenty-five papers and conference presentations. In 2021, Dr. Dilla and Dr. Bennett published a co-authored book, Your Best Self at Work, summarizing their work on aligning one’s talents and strengths with the skills of emotional intelligence and the practices of resilience on both an individual and team level.

Faith Geiger

Faith is an ICF-certified Integral Coach, Consultant, and self-proclaimed Human Potentialist whose higher purpose is to liberate and empower the human spirit by helping people cultivate their innate potential, starting in the workplace. Faith works and lives at the intersection of Social Work and Business and spends her time, energy, and talents on improving the lives of others by creating the conditions inside of the workplace for people and organizations to flourish - mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, and financially. Faith is deeply passionate about human potential, helping others experience an integrated life filled with love and joy, and shaping workplace cultures and employee experiences in a way that allows everyone to flourish in the human experience we call Life.

Laurie Krupski, Ph.D., CHES, CRC, NCTTP

Coach/Consultant

Dr. Krupski is a senior health educator, clinical best practice promoter, resilience and thriving trainer, and health scientist. She brings 20 years of experience providing evidence-based health promotion, prevention, and treatment programs in hospitals, Quitlines, military bases, universities, schools, healthcare, and worksite settings. Her robust, competency-driven training initiatives incorporate mindfulness, resilience, cultural humility, diversity, equity, and inclusion. She passionately promotes somatic awareness, creative expression, and transformation in her leadership training and coaching. She joined OWLS in 2020, assisting with client projects, program development, coaching, facilitation, and instruction of courses. Laurie helped initiate and sustain the Resilience Community of Practice and effectively incorporated resilience content into relapse prevention for tobacco dependence treatment. She contributes to the individual, team, and organizational level resilience programs.

Kelley Russell-DuVarney

Consultant, Coach

Kelley is an Executive and Leadership Coach living in Austin, Texas. A Sociologist by training, Kelley coaches a diverse group of leaders, teams and high-achieving professionals working in multiple sectors such as Government, Healthcare, Higher-Ed, Technology and Nonprofits. Her understanding and appreciation of the DEIJ landscape allows her to fully support clients in their attempt to navigate individual, cultural and institutional barriers to progress. Kelley is credentialed by the International Coach Federation (ICF) as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). She is a Certified Appreciative Inquiry Practitioner, Positive Neuroplasticity Trainer and most recently earned her certification as a Resilience Coach. She also facilitates leadership and employee wellness trainings and is an advisor to the ICF Austin board, HR.com and Bridges, a nonprofit supporting teens in recovery and their families. She published her first organizational White Paper in 2022 titled, An Authoritative Report on Leadership Coaching in Nonprofits. Although a native New Englander, she has been an Austinite for the past 20+ years and enjoys exploring the ever-changing music, food, and art scenes with friends and family.

Gabriella Schock

Business Analyst Intern

Gabriella is an intern with OWLS while earning her Bachelor of Science in psychology and a minor in general business at Texas Christian University. She is involved in social-evolutionary psychological research at TCU and is currently investigating the biological phenomena behind post-pandemic striving. Her general passions pertain to topics such as stress management, mental health, diversity/culture, and the impact of building positive relationships. After graduating in May of 2023, she plans to further explore her organizational psychology interests before pursuing a graduate degree.

Nolan Davis

OWLS Intern

Nolan is a student in the Master's Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at The University of Texas at Arlington. He has interests in the areas of people science, stress, burnout, and leadership. Nolan hopes to use the knowledge and skills he has learned throughout his education to help make the workplace a more positive and healthy environment for all.
